The official 2027-2028 calendar

For a September 2027 intake, you apply through Campus France Cameroon’s Études en France platform. The campaign is open from 1 October 2026 to 1 March 2027.

Other routes: BTS, CPGE and DCG on Parcoursup from January 2027; art, design, music, fashion and architecture on Campus Art from October 2026. The 2027 visa period dates have not been published yet.

The 7-step procedure

  1. Get informedFree Campus France information sessions at the Institut français in Douala and Yaoundé, and online.
  2. Create and complete your fileOn etudesenfrance.diplomatie.gouv.fr: background, chosen programmes, cover letters, scanned documents.
  3. Campus France reviewYour file is checked, with up to three rounds of corrections through the platform’s messaging.
  4. Paying the feesOnce you receive the payment authorisation by message, you have 72 hours to pay at TLScontact and show your original documents.
  5. Academic interviewScheduled once your file is complete; the opinion is given within about 15 working days.
  6. Responses and final choiceInstitutions reply on the platform; you confirm your choice before 31 May 2027.
  7. VisaCampus France gives you the appointment; you have 72 hours to enter your details, then you submit your application at TLScontact.

Proof of funds: AVI, blocked account or guarantor

€877.50 per monthi.e. 575,602 FCFA per month, or €10,530 (6,907,227 FCFA) for a 12-month year. Amount in force since 1 August 2026 (it used to be €615).

Campus France Cameroon accepts one of the following:

  • a bank certificate of permanent and irrevocable transfer (AVI), or a blocked account;
  • a certificate of deposit in a French bank account;
  • a statement of financial support from a guarantor with sufficient, reliable and regular income, with a copy of their ID;
  • a scholarship certificate.

Some Campus France pages still show €615: that is the old amount. On 3 September 2026, the French embassy stated that it does not require proof that tuition has been paid in full: it assesses the financial consistency of each project.

Housing guarantee: Visale is a free rental guarantee for international students aged 18 to 30 holding a long-stay student visa. Apply on visale.fr as soon as your visa is issued.

Working while studying: the student visa allows you to work up to 964 hours a year.

Beware of scams. Procedure fees are paid only at TLScontact, after the authorisation received on the Études en France platform. No embassy officer ever asks for payment by phone or message.

Scholarships open to Cameroonian students

The main public and university scholarships open to Cameroonians for a 2027 intake. Many go through the host institution, so you need to be admitted, or well on the way, very early.

The French institution files the application before 6 January 2027; results in the week of 12 April 2027

Seven fields: biology and health, ecological transition, mathematics and digital, engineering, French language and civilisation, law and political science, economics and management. Students cannot apply on their own: the institution that admits you must nominate you, so contact it in October or November 2026. Tuition is not covered.

About 300 recipients a year, based on merit and profile. For comparison, non-EEA tuition is €14,900 a year for the bachelor’s and €20,640 for the master’s. Deadlines for the 2027 intake have not been published yet.

Cameroon is the leading recipient of these scholarships in sub-Saharan Africa, and half of them go to doctoral students. Recipients are exempt from Campus France fees.
