Visitor visa: tourism, family or business

Short stays are often refused because of an incomplete or inconsistent file. We check every document with you to present a clear application: who you are, why you are going and why you will come back.

What the consulate looks at

Whatever the country, the consular officer is looking to answer four questions. Your file must answer them clearly.

The purpose of the trip

Tourism, family visit, business trip, event: a precise plan, consistent with the length of stay requested.

Your funds

Regular bank statements over several months, proven income, or support from your host.

Your ties to Cameroon

Job, business, family, property, studies: what guarantees your return at the end of your stay.

Accommodation and insurance

A hotel booking or a host’s invitation, and suitable travel insurance, which is mandatory for the Schengen area.

Depending on your destination

Short-stay visa rules differ from one country to another. Here are the main principles.

Schengen area

A short-stay Schengen visa, valid for stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period. It also lets you travel within the other Schengen countries. Travel insurance is mandatory.

Canada

A temporary resident visa, applied for online with IRCC, with biometrics (fingerprints and photo) taken at a visa application centre.

Russia

A tourist or private visa, usually issued on the basis of an invitation (from an approved travel agency or a host in Russia).

Dubai

A tourist visa for the United Arab Emirates, with a length that depends on the option, often obtained through a hotel, an airline or an approved agency.

The Schengen area includes France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Luxembourg among others: you apply to the country of your main destination.

The steps

Plan to apply several weeks before departure: appointments can be hard to get in peak season.

  1. Diagnostic call

Purpose, dates, work and financial situation: we identify the strengths and weaknesses of the file.

  2. Document list

A list tailored to your situation and destination.

  3. Checking

We review every document and flag anything that could be misread.

  4. Form and appointment

Filling in the form and booking the appointment at the application centre.

  5. Submission and follow-up

Preparing the submission, biometrics if needed, then follow-up until the decision.

Documents to prepare

A visitor file’s strength lies in how consistent the documents are: dates, amounts and purpose must tell the same story.

Indicative list: the exact list depends on your situation and destination. We give you the complete list after the diagnostic call.

    Your questions

More questions? See the frequently asked questions or ask them during the call.

My visa was refused before. Can I apply again?

Yes. Let’s start by reading the refusal letter carefully: it states the reasons. A new application must address those points, not simply repeat the previous one.

How much money do I need in my account?

There is not always a single amount: the consulate assesses your funds against the length and cost of your stay. Regular transactions count for more than a large deposit just before applying.

Can my host cover my stay?

Yes, in most countries, with a host’s attestation or an invitation letter and the host’s own supporting documents. We tell you which documents your host needs to provide.

Does the visa guarantee entry into the country?

No. The visa allows you to present yourself at the border; the officer may still ask for your documents. Keep them with you while travelling.

Let’s prepare a file that inspires confidence.
